Victims of Crime Act Program

Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Program

About the program

The purpose of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Program is to enhance access to, and utilization of victim and mental health services to help restore victims to higher levels of functioning through a coordinated, statewide case management system that is embedded in CCFSA’s Member agencies. The overall project goal is to empower victims of crime statewide to move towards better quality of life by using a case management approach of client-centered assessment, intervention, goal setting, and progress monitoring for sustained growth.

The VOCA Program will involve:

  • Providing intensive, client centered, in-home and/or community-based case management to Victims of Crime

  • Conducting targeted outreach to assigned VOCA referred children, adults and families within specific time frames

  • Coordinating and providing care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, client-centered and trauma informed

  • Exploring and identifying barriers to support clients with informed decisions for appropriate connections and referrals

  • Collaborating with clients to assess needs for emergency situations, e.g., domestic violence, child abuse, or acute behavioral needs
