New Partnership with Dept of Housing

Alyssa Goduti

CCFSA’s New Partnership with the Department of Housing – Housing Mobility Counseling and Search Assistance Program: CCFSA recently entered into a new partnership with the Department of Housing to provide housing mobility counseling and search assistance. Services will be managed through CCFSA and will be provided locally in the Hartford area by The Village for Families and Children, in the Stamford/Norwalk area by Family Centers and in Waterbury area by Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Hartford. This program will support tenant education, mobility counseling and housing search assistance for eligible participants in DOH’s rent subsidy programs: Section 8 Housing Choice Program and Rental Assistance Program (RAP). Services will emphasize mobility moves from areas of low opportunity to those of higher opportunity, with a priority placed on serving families with young children. This new program is a nice complement to CCFSA’s Safety Net and parenting programs and will help us further achieve our mission of strengthening CT’s families.
