CCFSA members are available to provide counseling, basic needs, case management and care coordination for children and families throughout CT, including those who have been displaced due to recent hurricanes.
As described by Lt. Governor Wyman in an 11/3/17 press release, “These evacuees have endured devastation – losing loved ones, homes, businesses, and a sense of safety in their lives. Ensuring they have the resources to rebuild is critical, as it’s the right thing to do.” All CCFSA members provide outpatient counseling services to help individuals, children and families experiencing trauma, regardless of financial status or insurance coverage. CCFSA’s Social Services Block Grant Counseling Services Program (funded through CT DSS) is also available as a resource to victims of the recent hurricanes now living in CT who don’t have insurance.
Please go to the Counseling section of our website for contact information for CCFSA member agencies participating in the SSBG Counseling Program. These agencies are able to offer free counseling services to anyone who is a citizens, at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty level and without insurance.
