Congressional Briefing on Improving Access to Mental Healthcare for Youth
CCFSA President and CEO, Dr. Robert Muro and Klingberg Family Centers President and CEO, Dr. Steven Girelli were in Washington, DC to present information about Connecticut’s innovative youth mental health screening and prevention program funded by Congressionally Directed Spending dollars. This model, known as Screening Connecticut’s Youth (SCY), has proven to be effective at increasing access to services and can be replicated in all states to meet the mental health needs of at-risk youth in a cost efficient manner.
