CCFSA was proud to honor Rep. Jay Case on 4/4/18 with the Family Legislator of the Year Award. Rep. Case said, “It is an honor to be named Family Legislator of the Year. CCFSA does an amazing job providing educational resources and programs to Connecticut’s diverse and growing number of families. Ensuring funding is available for such programs are legislative priorities of mine. In addition to services, CCFSA leads advocacy efforts, on behalf of their membership, about the importance of programs that serve and support the state’s most vulnerable children and families. “I’m truly honored to receive this recognition from the Connecticut Council of Family Service Agencies. The providers in this Council do fantastic work on multiple issues which are near and dear to my heart: mental health, adoption, disability services and more. These vital human services help strengthen families, our communities, and our state, and these services have been a priority in my public policy work. I am grateful to receive this award,” said Senator Bartolomeo.
“Representative Bartolomeo has been a true advocate for human services and in particular the essential behavioral health services by family service agencies. Despite the challenging budget situation, she continues to fight for vital programs and policies that support children and families to find health and hope for brighter futures. We are so grateful for Senator Bartolomeo's efforts as a champion for CT’s children and families,” said Alyssa Goduti, President and CEO, CT Council of Family Service Agencies.
